Plastic extrusion template
Plastic Extrusion Template is a preconfigured application software for scalable control of a single extruder up to a complete extrusion line.
The Template provides management of a maximum of 128 temperature control zones, Master/Slave motor control with synchronism, and closed loop melt pump control.
Innovative solutions for efficient power management have been introduced for temperature control. Based on its many years of experience in extrusion control, Gefran has developed dedicated energy optimization controls for two phases of the extrusion process: a first Warm-up phase, with Energy Saving function, and a second Production phase, with Smart Power Manager function.
In addition to standard extrusion functions, the Template provides a series of automation functions:

R-U16 Module 16 optically isolated digital outputs0 out of 5
The R-U16 module has 8 optically isolated digital outputs, type PNP, 24 VDC-3A, and can be used to send signals and OKs to electronic devices, directly power loads in VDC within the limits of rated currents, or control loads of any kind via solid state relay, contactors, etc.
The outputs have the GND terminal in common and are divided into 4 groups of 2 outputs with 4 separate power supplies and maximum capacity of 5A per group, 15A total for the module.
Division into groups creates circuits that are independently sectionable by external devices.
Each output is protected against short-circuit, overload, and overheating, and has current recycle circuitry for inductive loads and state signal LEDs.
The R-U16 is installed on the backplanes of the series R-BUS(x) from which it receives its power supply.

It is destined mainly to operate in an industrial environment on the control panels of production process machines or processes.
The operator interacts through a colour touch screen. Depending on the model, the size of the screen is 3.5” or 7” wide.

The R-E16 module has 16 optically isolated digital inputs, 24 VDC, PNP, and acquires logic signals from proximity sensors, drives, etc. It is installed on the backplanes of the R-BUS(x), from which it receives auxiliary power supply (LED).
Each input is protected against inversion of polarity and has signal LEDs to indicate its state.
Each has a twin input filter (10 ms or 200 µs selectable via software) and be controlled individually at interrupt with front selectable via software.

The outputs are protected against short circuit and overload, and have a feedback circuit for diagnosis of channel operation and direct reading (via software) of the output with 8 bit resolution.
